Restoring Your Brand teleseminar Aug. 15

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

The next Lunch ‘n Learn teleseminar will be “From Surviving to Thriving: Restoring Your Brand and Reputation in a Media-Centric World” on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at Tulane University’s campus at Edgewater Mall in Biloxi. Attendance is free for PRAM members and Tulane students and only $5 for guests. We’ll start gathering at 11:30 a.m. and begin the teleseminar at noon, followed by a brief group discussion until 1:30 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring their lunch to the brown-bag event.

Speaker will be James E. Lee, senior vice president and chief public & consumer affairs officer, ChoicePoint.  In early 2005, ChoicePoint was known as a leader in providing information-based technology and tools to businesses, government agencies and nonprofit organizations. Virtually overnight, the company found itself nearly drowning in a tsunami of negative attention from the news media, public officials and consumer advocates, and labeled a “poster child for lax security.” Learn how ChoicePoint used strategic communications to reverse the tide, allowing the company to today be called a “role model” by many of its harshest critics and a “textbook example” of brand restoration by academic and professional researchers.
